Update August 2022:
Due to a component issue, the G2 series will have immediate changes. The changes below are expected to remain until mid-2023, at that point all models are expected to be available as G2 again.
- IP20 versions, Frame size A through E will only be available as the previous version (G1)
- IP20 versions, Frame size F and G will remain available as the current G2 model
- IP66/NEMA 4 versions, Frame size A and B will remain available as the current G2 model

New 2020: Additional CFW500 models have been released! Ending in B20Y2, these models have STO function (Safe Torque Off) and SS1 (Safe Stop 1). They are extremely flexible and provide machine manufacturers a cost-effective solution to reduce risks and ensure personal and equipment protection in case of failures in machines and industrial process. The CFW500 with safety functions is certified at TÜV Rheinlad, classified as SIL 3 according to IEC 61508, IEC 62061 and IEC 61800-5-2 and fulfils requirements for safety performance level PL e (cat. 4) according to EN ISO 13849-1.
Models ending in B20Y2 features include:
- Safety functions STO and SS1-t
- Can be used as part of the safety solution complying cat. 4 without contactor
- Easy installation, commissioning and maintenance
- Due to high safety level SIL 3 / PL e, the CFW500 with safety functions may replace the use of external safety relays for cables and emergency pushbuttons monitoring
