Tis the Season, MWA Holiday Festivities!

‘Have a holly jolly Christmas
It’s the best time of the year
Now I don’t know if there’ll be snow
But have a cup of cheer…’
We're having a blast with office festivities this year! We kicked off the week with a desk decorating contest. Linda and Jayden went all out with their brick houses, while Ashley B. neatly gift-wrapped her cubicle wall. It was a close call, but Lisa's gingerbread house theme truly captured the holiday spirit and won the prize!
Congratulations Lisa!
We absolutely had cups of cheer at the hot chocolate bar! Everyone made their own favorite creation with the many options set out on the table!
Cookie Exchange
The Rules:
- Homemade cookies: Cookies should be homemade, no store-bought cookies please
- Number of cookies: Guests should bring enough cookies so that each guest can take home an equal amount. (6 cookies for each participant)
- Dietary restrictions: Consider any dietary restrictions or allergies that guests may have. (I don’t think we have any….except for vegetarians )
- Recipe sharing: Please bring printed copies of your recipe to share with others.
- Take-home containers: Bring extra boxes, tins, or bags so you can easily transport your cookies.
We all dug out (or went out and bought) all of our ingredients and got to work!
Congratulations to Ashley B. for winning the prize with her delicious Linzer Cookies!
Finally, it was time for the MWA Holiday luncheon! Karin and Lisa went above and beyond, decorating the space beautifully and organizing a delicious spread of food and fun games. The barbecue lunch was delicious, especially the mac and cheese and baked beans – my personal favorites! After everyone had their fill, we moved all the tables aside to arrange our chairs in a circle and get the games started.
The gift game started off friendly, but the competition quickly intensified by the second round as we eagerly sought to keep our prizes or strategically claim something more desirable from another player. In the end, everyone walked away with a smile and some wonderful gifts.
The fun didn't stop there. Lisa outdid herself with a massive plastic wrap ball overflowing with gifts. We put on the oven mitts, rolled the dice, and frantically peeled away the layers in a race to claim our prizes. We worked as fast as we could before the dreaded double roll forced us to pass the ball to the next player.
Thank you so much to the Wolf Family for a festive week to get us into the holiday spirit!
