What is an Assist Wheel Drive?

The IDEC ez-Wheel® is a motorized wheel designed to transform ordinary manual push trolleys into power-assisted vehicles.

With the Series 150 capable of handling 1000kg of load transfer and the Series 160 able to handle 750kg, adding the ez-Wheel® to your application makes moving heavy loads easier.

Its straightforward installation on existing carts or equipment enhances safety and efficiency within your operations.

Smooth Control

The powerful motor on the assist wheel drive requires a controller for operation. The controller serves as the central control unit, processing commands like speed, forward, reverse, and emergency stop.

For enhanced visibility in low-light conditions or safety-critical applications, an illuminated pushbutton option is available. The illumination ensures easy identification and reduces the risk of accidental operation.

To improve ergonomics and reduce hand fatigue, a handle-type controller can be considered. This option offers a comfortable grip for extended use.

Internal and External Battery

The integrated, protected internal battery offers a compact design, reducing the risk of damage. This design simplifies charging and maintenance.

However, internal batteries typically have a smaller capacity compared to external options. While external batteries might be bulkier, they offer higher capacity, greater flexibility, and easier replacement.
